The engines
Prism is your starting point for creating and editing. Choose Forge when you want another interpretation, with Quill ready to help shape your prompt. See the engine and cost before you create.
Prism
The default for new images, filters and photo edits. Start with a prompt, add your Tags, and save the creations you love to Library. Results stay in Create and history until you choose to save them. Choose a smaller Draft or a larger Balanced or Final output, all at one credit per image. Balanced and Final currently share the same Prism size and detail; delivered images may be resized.
Forge
Structural change. Take the power lines out of the sky, put the subject somewhere else entirely, adjust a face or a hairstyle, clear the background. Three quality tiers, so you only pay for the detail you actually need.
Quill
The engine behind Enhance and Shuffle. Give it a rough idea and it writes the prompt the image engines actually want — and it reads your reference photos to describe what makes them look the way they do.
The layer stack
Edits don't pile up into a chain you can't unpick. Each one stays a separate layer in a fixed, canonical order — so you can switch the film grade off, keep the retouch, and see the result without spending a single credit re-running anything.
Your original never changes. Every layer composes over it, and every layer can come back off.
Layers compose in a canonical order, so a look applied before a structural edit lands the same as one applied after.
You're only charged when an engine actually runs. Turning layers on and off is a local operation.
What you can do
Seven picker chips organise hundreds of presets and controls. Reorder the ones you use. Save your own combinations. Mention a look by name and Imagik knows what you mean.
The marquee looks, in an order you set yourself. New light presets lead, film looks follow.
Genre, medium and film stock. Push a photograph towards a whole visual language rather than a single adjustment.
Face, hair, body and background, with automatic masks found by on-device vision before anything is sent anywhere.
Move the subject into another world without moving the subject.
Shoot the frame again. Relight it, regrade it, or re-take it on a different lens.
Start from a prompt and add up to ten reference photos. Shuffle suggests new prompts using your attached Tags, or fresh ideas when no Tags are attached. Save the creations you love to Library.
Privacy & security
Editing with a cloud engine means a photo leaves your phone. That's a real trade, so the parts you can't see are built to be checkable.
Every edit is signed by your device with Apple's App Attest, over the exact bytes of the request. A request that wasn't made by the real app on a real iPhone is refused.
Inputs and results live in private storage. Download links expire in five minutes; results are recoverable for seven days, then gone.

Monthly plan credits reset each month rather than rolling over. Annual is a cash discount, not extra credits — the same monthly allowance, for roughly ten months' money. Subscriptions renew through your Apple ID and can be cancelled any time in Settings.
